Well, here’s the thing. The last few weeks I’ve been struggling a bit with the writing process.
I know, disbelief! Here is a writer who writes and blogs about writing and the myth of writer’s block yet I’ve discovered that sometimes writer’s block can be a hard beast to tame.
I’ve been working on my next book but I was stuck in the creative process. I didn’t seem to be getting anywhere with it. You know the feeling when your wheels are spinning? I was stuck in a literary ditch. The harder I revved my motor the deeper I got stuck. What to do?
It’s easy to give up. I took a different action. I decided the one positive way to get my writing mojo back, was to nail my creative intent to the mast so to speak.
So I took time out to write My Writer’s Manifesto . It started out as a series of tweets. I got inspired when people started sharing and favouriting, so put some extra work in and turned the tweets into a book.
I want to give it to you for free.
I had a lot of fun writing it. I hope it can motivate you to keep going. To stay true to your dream and vision and don’t give up.
Sometimes, when you get stuck on the project you’re most passionate about, it can work to put it aside for a while and work on another project. It certainly worked with me.
So, I’m sharing with you the 21 steps that make up My Writer’s Manifesto.
